ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Glen J. Dalakian II

Raised in a family-owned dry cleaning operation, Glen J. Dalakian, Sr. learned the power of small business at a very young age. After attending Seton Hall University, he developed a myriad of businesses in the electronics and audio-visual industries, generating millions of dollars in revenue. He currently serves as the President of the Board at Colts Neck Community Church and is a founding board member and former president of the Colts Neck Business Association.  

 

Glen is a devoted servant of the Lord. He prides himself on his commitment to family and his philanthropic endeavors in his community. He and his loving wife, Cyndi, are blessed with sons Glen J. and Lucas, daughters-in-law, Lara and Krista, and three beautiful grandchildren. 


Glen is a writer with a monthly column “Business Matters” published in The Journal. He is the creator and host of the business radio show, Tandem Radio. He is involved in many charitable organizations, including Hackensack Meridian Health Foundations, Monmouth Park Charity, 

Fund for Armenian Relief, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Ashley Lauren Foundation, Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, Solutions Pregnancy Center, Semper Fi Santa, Trees for Troops, Salvation Army, and other Christian ministries. 

 

As a dedicated community member, Glen sprung to action during Hurricane Sandy to organize relief efforts to those affected by the storm. He co-founded, Operation Provide Comfort, to mobilize resources that helped hundreds of local families. When the Covid pandemic hit, Glen and Cyndi leveraged their experience and network to provide support throughout Monmouth County, NJ. They created Gather to Give, an organization which distributed cleaning supplies, food, and gift cards to hundreds of families in the area.

 

Glen has received many awards for his business acumen and community support including commendations from county, state and the federal government. He is a member of professional organizations including the EIPA and the 200-Club. Glen serves as the President and CEO of CSAV Systems, a rapidly growing audio-visual company that collaborates with clients spanning from Connecticut to Maryland.
